North Libya - (Ancient) forum account

Well, there appear to be two North Libya forum accounts.

One named (ancient) whose nation link doesn't exist: memberlist.php?mode=viewprofile&u=568995
And this one: memberlist.php?mode=viewprofile&u=574520

This probably has something to do with this report, but it seems quite odd that this happened. Is it a glitch or an error or something?

Not a glitch.

The (Ancient) North Libya was founded at least five years before the non-Ancient North Libya account and had less than 500 million people in its population. If an account with less than 500 million people is not revived after five years, the name is freed up to be used again, although the old owner can still revive it after those five years if the name has not been used again.

Check the date of the last post by the ancient account.

The "(ancient)" account has been deactivated since it has no nation attached to it. If the player who was posting using that account wanted to continue posting, he/she will just have to use some other nation.
A few other accounts for which this applies have gotten the same treatment: deactivation. That means their posts remain, but the account can not be used anymore.

A large number of 0-post "(ancient)" forum accounts have been purged from the forum.
Someone who speaks php will have to solve the actual coding bug in the forum.

Is it possible that, because the old account hadn't yet been purged, the system was assigning some of the new nation's posts to it?

No, because the accounts are separate. One has to log in to an account in order to post as that account. What you're describe is as likely as you posting and the forum software accidentally assigns the post as being mine.

Well, okay. I'm not really up on the technical side of things, but remembered that business about the nation names being used as their identifiers in the game itself (with that being one of the reasons why names can't be changed) and didn't realise that this didn't carry over to the forums as well...
