[Idea] Separating name and title

It could make it more personal to separate the leader's name from their title. It would certainly open up some perspectives as far as issues are concerned; citizens would "choose" to be ruder or to address one more appropriately, adding emotion and in a sense removing the issues' likeness to a machine. Inspiration: I hate it when, in novels, characters address each other by full name every other sentence.

You have set your Leader's name as "Prime Minister Keenen Davis IX", which includes a title, instead of just the name "Keenen Davis IX".

You misunderstand. I was more suggesting giving the ability to characters in issues to say "Prime Minister" instead of the entire name every - single - time. I imagined in the settings two textboxes under "leader's name", one for my title (the "Prime Minister" part) and next to it one for the rest.

I'm not sure about this... In several of my puppets I have inserted leaders that wouldn't mix well with this.

"The people" in Communism or "the Volkskammer" in the German Democratic Republic, for example.

Maybe a synonym would suit them better--just "people", perhaps, or "citizens of the nation". Or maybe the title textbox could be optional altogether.

That's actually a very good idea. It could work like the demonyms, eg.

Personal reference:

[Your Majesty]
"I'm talking to you, Your Majesty."

Impersonal reference:

[Kaiser Franz]
"Ruled by Kaiser Franz with an iron fist."

Title

[Kaiser]
"The Kaiser's likeness can be seen in each classroom in the country, and..."

Well this seems like an interesting addition but then how would it effect past issues already in the system?

The mods only come on whenever they are able to. When they do, much of their time is spent cleaning up the bs that trolls and the like post here.

However, I do see where you're coming from. The demonyms weren't easy either, and I noticed they had to edit it a few times. It still came out well in the end, though.

I'm sure they're busy making money. I read somewhere posters should wait until one's post is on the second page before expecting an actual reply. They do have a queue line.

I've seen this thread several times. Not seeing anything that requires a response yet. I personally don't think this is a good idea. Just another complication to Settings that most people won't use.
