Tag:Templates... deletion? replacement?

Postby Enfaru » Fri Apr 04, 2014 3:37 am

Hi,

I know that we have a wonderful feature with telegrams and considering the old days, it is indeed much better. I do have one matter.

At the moment, every time, I want to update a recruitment notice or something similar, I have to book in a "New" tg code. Which is uhm, fine, just slightly frustrating.

I don't know if it's currently possible, but I would like to be able to just use one template number and simply update the text in that number...say via: tag:template-103045 or something?

Is there anyway of deleting the templates or are they automatically deleted after a certain amount of time?

Editing Sent telegrams would allow you to flame the hell out of someone then change the text to something innocuous to 'prove' you hadn't flamed. Since we need the TGIDs to track those complaints, this is not a practical suggestion.

No and no. They're kept permanently, or at least until we start to have database storage issues.

That would be like modifying a letter after having sent it. You'd be changing stuff in people's inboxes. So, no, let's not go down that path.
