I use Firefox. I also tried to download it from the actual NS++ site, but got the same error.
I also use Avast Antivirus, so maybe that could be tampering with it?
Any help is appreciated.

I face the same problem too. And I use Google Chrome.

I am having an issue with the extension: the sidebar disappears every time I go into the forums. It's perfectly visible when I'm in nation view or on my region, but when I venture into the forums, it just flashes and then disappears.

Attempting to kill off my region, but now the second clock is off. The update passed at this point, but I'd like to know why it's doing this?

Now it's gone, but it had a 3,000+ second count that increased the time of update.

There are no plans at this time to rewrite the Extension as an App.

From my observations, the estimated updates got off when DST switched over, and many never really settle properly. They read 3000+ second variations, and raiding a night or two ago we hit a region that updated in the first 15 minutes of the update, but who's estimate was 40-something (plus or minus 3000 something seconds :P). They've never been spot on, and I don't expect them to be (we have tools we closer calls :P), but currently they're not even a very valid estimate.

I've come across some problems with the NS++ badge-icon.

For example, on Great Industria's main page I can't see the badge, and DevTools shows this code:
Code: Select all
<img id="nspp_trophy" src="https://nationstatesplusplus.net/nationstates/static/nspp.png?v" class="trophy" title="A Proud NationStates++ User!
Last seen 44 years 345 days ago." style="display: inline; opacity: 0;">

So for some reason, the opacity is set to 0, and on hover, it says "Last seen 44 years 345 days ago."

EDIT: I see the same code on all NS++ users' nation pages.

I don't know anything about the badge, but that date probably represents the epoch date of 1 Jan 1970. Sounds like somebody added a date function as alt text, but failed to define it properly. So you get the default epoch date rather than something useful.

Are you sure you're using https / http as you were before? The localstorage and therefore the puppet lists are separate between http and https

Try https://www.nationstates.net/ vs http://www.nationstates.net/

May I know why I am sometimes not able to access my regional news? Sometimes the link to the regional news disappears from my sidebar...

Recently, I think that it is only accessible from gameside, whilst forumside has no access.

In light of his issue, friendly reminder to us all of you that backing up your puppet lists by downloading them every month or so (or more often!) is never a bad idea ;)

In fact, go back up all your files while you're at it! external hard drives get cheaper by the day, for the sizes you need to back up most pc's.

The region's timer has still been giving me a insane number, which, doesn't bother me too much, I'd like to know why.

Anyone else get an xhr poll error on the embedded IRC? Seems to occur on any region I go to. Not sure how to solve it.

I believe this is the right thread for this since it is part of NS++ but if I am wrong please direct me if you could. :)

the +3572 seconds is saying plus 59.5333 minutes. I'm not sure if this is crazy, or just a weird glitch... I have'nt seen any others with crazy update times.

The ~3600 second range error came about after the switch from daylight savings time. I (Eluvatar) will fix this in time.

Would it be possible for NS++ to allow font additions that can be seen even by people without NS++

Like if I use it to copy a specific font for style, would this feature be possible and would someone without NS++ be able to see it?
