Just reporting in, are you sure there's no lingering issues? I'm still listed as a recruitment officer for my region, but I seem to be locked out of all the controls (get a red circle with a slash if I hover over any) and the campaign I created last night seems to not be running, and perhaps no longer exist

I unfortunately had to restore the database from a copy created on October 8, so about 48 hours of data was lost.

Alright, I have all the data to remake the campaign so that's no issue, but I'm still locked out of the controls

Ah, thanks for the reminder. Becausee of the data loss, the region/nation databases are out of sync. I am forcing it to reconsume last night's daily data dump, that should correct permission problems. Give it an hour.

I'm still out a few later. I'll write again if it's still out after major in a few hours, as my assumption is that have the same effect anyways

Same here. I'm the WAD of a founderless region and I cannot update regional titles.

And was told it's because of no influence yet in newly founded region (I am new founder) or this is a NS++ problem...also influence based??

That's an NS++ feature I believe. So ask in the NS++ thread.

Suggestion: Add buttons on the factbook editor that allow us to add in the text modifiers without typing them out, similar to the ones in forum posts and regional posts.

It's not influenced based. You have to be the founder of a region for at least 1 major update and it should work.

You don't, it's an IRC feature that has to be implemented I believe Afforess' side. It still wouldn't show up for none-NS++ users so it's a little bit of a useless feature.

Affortress, can you add something to the challenge? It would be useful if I could select "Find me level # Foe" or something like it? It's annoying searching through level 1 or 48 nations until i find a level 10 one.

Ah. I assume that's to assuage a concern about giving too many people access to the secret key and so on? Shame there's no way to add 'blind' recruitment officers who can use their time online to send out the recruitment TG without having access to the confidential data about it...

I can't answer that. All I can say is the limit appears to have been imposed as part of "More work on websockets (Separate out option for turning off background tasks)".

Personally I don't give a crap about the date; if I felt like it I would totally publish some Daskoxyani news article set in the 2500s and then publish a Tödlichebujoki WorldVision article set in the modern time but not really having a date. Besides, no one will smack you or me for setting a different date.



Probably helps that I'm the only editor publishing people's articles, too.

Yeah, the puppet section, IIRC, is saved locally as opposed to with your log in, so if you log in on a diffrent PC, they won't be there. It's not too bad when you only have three or four like me, but if you have dozens... must be frustrating.
