It says 'ass' on it, and I'm not sure if that's against the rules or not.

Forum-side rules are PG-13 since that is the age limit for the forums, but the game-side is not limited by age. As such, it is up to [violet]'s discretion I suppose. What really matters is whether they are big-ass monsters, or big ass-monsters.

I'll assume the former, and allow it.

Hi,

For each occurrence of the Roman ads, can you provide details such as the time that you saw the ad, the page the ad was on (a link should do) and the nation you were logged in with.

This info can really help Vi, Salusa, Pythag, Reppy and Ballo to track down the offending ads and block them

Found a questionable advert for dating a girl while on viewtopic.php?f=15&t=191644

Not sure if its worth blocking considering the age range on NS

Can't provide a screenshot, sorry

You've reported adverts for dating sites before and been told that they were acceptable.

I hate the add with the lady in the sunglasses with a T-shirt that says "meh." She is not wearing pants.

The Lower banner one had the ad. After trying to tear through the code, I got this link. Which tried to install something malicious on my computer. After looking more, turns out this ad is run through google-ads. So I'm reporting it right now on Google.

Do NOT click link

I took a quick look at the javascript. While I know nothing about the language, I didn't see anything at all that could perform a malicious installation. It's some sort of function call, and doesn't even include any web addresses. I think you picked the wrong snippet of code to link to.

Incidentally, it's probably best not to post potentially malicious links on the forums, at least without a spoiler. I've put yours under a spoiler, but in future, if you're SURE that admin attention is required, feel free to file a GHR. A Game Mod will bring it to the attention of the admins in private.

Well I ended up clicking it, and it tried to install something, and agreed. I'm not too familiar with Java either, still learning it. Just wanted to say that I've reported the issue to Google, with other information. Because seems that the site won't be able to have much power to avoid it coming on here. So we'll see.

Banned Ad?

IIRC, these kinds of obviously sexual ads are banned, like the old 'Roman Orgy' one.

And yes, I'm such a derp I forgot how to take a screenshot.

Ah, right. Didn't notice it, given it was a few pages down. Do you think I should copy it there, then, or just leave it in one place here?

I requested a merge for you. Also, as a note, I *think* issues with ads go to technical (a mod can feel free to correct me there though).

Don't know if this is the right method to show you which ad Im talking about, but copying it's link was all I could think of:
Code: Select all
http://googleads.g.doubleclick.net/aclk?sa=L&ai=Cra85xbvcUMPwAoypsQf1k4GIAcOEyfEBo-COrxnAjbcBEAEg1ou9GVDHgOuH-P____8BYMmm3ozgpNAUyAEC4AIAqAMByAOdBKoE2wFP0G1PVKQ7Oj8CaDOvl26gokBMcBf-M6AnYGkL-gWIuAl-fO0dgbzdFz6LdjV0Kk29cFn35TIitwkcJkrO4GbPrkdV8k_XgtbvDq_tvoWW34TCWjJrVY9WrOzMugzKFGkNQyaBKggzNtBfxPE_rrENPpaqXj_-jRsLHLgP_KWSwGlbSLgTXoaPN-3LHMeg61UXzS8IQv09KHpNa8q-gr5pwUUyBi_1CTT6BVPpaJbUIzAHYUUc2Ce6p-JplJHT7R8NVml6geTmz6TcsSfudUV3qSY9D09mN0b3fErgBAGgBgKAB6nM7AE&num=1&sig=AOD64_3VBDjTXy0nNrX9euHsprG6GYbYOg&client=ca-pub-2450468603407666&adurl=http://www.mostfungames.com&nm=2&nx=537&ny=39&mb=2

I can try to take a screen capture next time I see it if that would work better.

It's a link to a generic flash game site, and the thing is mostly the same bland whatever that you usually see on such things. However, one of the games displayed in the ad is called "Douchebag workout". Even though it is using the word in the insult sense rather than the literal one, and the picture is completely tame, I would imagine such language crosses the site's PG-13 line. If not, sorry for wasting everyone's time.

There is a titillating new ad for the game League of Angels.

It has a woman with blue hair whose boobs pulsate back and forth between B and DD. :?

Can you be more descriptive? There are hundreds of ads for this game, most of which include a woman with blue hair, but I can't find the one you mean.

Generally, I'm okay with scantily dressed warrior-maiden-princess-fairy-angel-ninja-space-marines. But pulsating boobs sounds like over the line. I found an ad where the whole thing pulsates, but nothing boob-specific.

A good way to bypass these ads is just to simply get NS++, which blocks all the adds.

Not helpful, since that doesn't help people who aren't using an adblocker, nor does it help us track down, identify, and get rid of the inappropriate ads.
