Nation name release!

After this change, I can disclose publicly what I have known for while now. Many of coveted RL country/city or famous people names were held by one player which had all his nations deleted in May 2014. The nation names were already unobtainable due to size, but this further confirms it as they are soiled nations which would still be unobtainable no matter the population requirement.

Site management might change that one day, but for now you might want to give up your lobbying.

This would mean that a nation has been deleted by a mod, right?
It doesn't matter much to me, as to my understanding the nationstate would otherwise have a too significant population, but I haven't seen this tag yet, so I was curious.

My nation CTE'd in 2008 on 666 million, it was so special I gave it a special password - That was stupid.... I'm still waiting in hope.

When a nation is deleted for rule violations that name is no longer usable essentially contaminated by the previous owner.

'Tis a shame, I wanted to make a nation called "The Cartel" but it was reserved and the nation ceased to exist...
12 years ago.
I dunno if it's just me, but I have a little bit of a problem with reserved names for nations that ceased to exist +10 years ago.

I also agree, while one person (I have seen) came back after about 10 years, most people founded in antiquity, and who haven't come back since, likely arn't coming back. I'd like to see the population required to be reserved raise the longer it has been inactive.

Why not just have a set time? Like a nation after 20 years becomes free for all nations including soiled ones. Bar those that founded living regions and made issues or whatever. After 20 years I think it is safe to say the players are gone.

I know the site isn't that old but for once it reaches that age.
