404 Issue Not Found

Postby Kaboomlandia » Thu Apr 02, 2015 10:55 am

Upon arriving at your desk early this morning, you were stunned to find there weren't any dilemmas to resolve.

The Debate

"Well it's not surprising, it is?" pipes up Buffy al-Zahawi from your entourage. "Every day, you expect the people of Kaboomlandia to come to you with their problems. Would it hurt you, for once, to go out and ask them what they want you to do?"

Accept

"They've given up!" grumbles Zack Brown, ever the pessimist, "and I don't blame them. All these decisions, made with the best of intentions, and they always go wrong. From tax code reform to that incident with Brasilistan, nothing ever goes quite the way it should. Just give up, and let someone else call the shots for once."

Accept

"Nonsense!" trills the annoyingly chirpy Gertie Calgary, pirouetting around your office. "There's just nothing left to fix. Yes, Andrew, that's right. It's perfect. Kaboomlandia, Kaboomlandians, you. All perfect."

Accept

What I find funny is the reference to Brasilistan, as I haven't started the Chain yet.

I wonder how one qualifies for this issue.

I support insanely high tax rates, do you?

Any idea what exactly this issue will do?

I got this one, and I haven't done the chain either. The last option gives you "the government has awarded itself a month-long holiday to celebrate its achievements."

That was the one I chose.

Did you by chance dismiss a lot of issues before this one?

Do any of the choices matter? I do not want to get back on, thinking that none of these matter, just to find out that my economy went from 100 to 33.

I choosed the first option.

The outcome (Aparently, i was not strict) is:

"Following new legislation in @@NATION@@, politicians accost strangers in the street to ask their problems."

It appears to be an issue that anyone can get. Including me.
Option 2 gives ''10 hours ago: Following new legislation in Annihilators of Chan Island, the government is overcome with ennui.'' other than that, I can't see any difference.
This nation is modeled on being my absolute worst dystopia imaginable. In no way do the Annihilators reflect my opinions, in fact I am totally against almost every single policy they enact.

I disagree, there must be an exigence, myself i rarely dismiss an issue.

Did you check your nation's stats?

The options will alter some of your national statistics, same as most issues.

I do think there's one, probably something like being relatively active and not dismissing many issues.

I tried with one of my puppets the last option:

"Following new legislation in @@NATION@@, the government has awarded itself a month-long holiday to celebrate its achievements"
There doesn't seem to be a change on the statistics.

I've often seen issues appear to not do anything, although I figured that's likely because I'm already maxed-out on the stats it's trying to improve.
