I have recently put up a draft for an issue about basket weaving. Some of you might want to take a look...

Can an issue reference your largest government expenditure?
If, for example, I wanted someone to ask for lowered taxes, and then suggest you trim whatever that specific nation's largest expenditure is, would that be possible?

It's easier to do text-wise than stats-wise. If the issue is good enough, we can make it work.

Is there any chance of an editor taking a look at my latest
draft proposal and saying whether it looks potentially usable or should just be dropped?

The options seem too all over the place, even for NS.

It's also a topic that's covered already in the issue base.

Is there any way I can find out if
this issue was rejected? If it was, I'd like to make some edits and try again, because I believe it's a good idea that hasn't been addressed yet.

Not writers block but thought I'd at least let you know. Still interested in shaping my issue, but have had real life dominate. Working 50+ hours a week, 6 people were fired in the last week, and I'm being considered for a position where I would be running resets across 9 stores with a team underneath me. Softball is also starting. The time I'm going to be on here will drop significantly.

I don't think it has happened, but has there been an issue made about double jeopardy?
edit: if there hasn't, I would like to try writing an issue dealing with it.

Is it possible to have a chosen first name, but a random last name, or vice versa?

No, those macros wouldn't work.

Hmm.
I should stop posting for a while.

It occurs to me that an incident along the lines of the recent FIFA arrests could potentially form the basis for an entertaining issue, but I already have several other ideas that I’m going to work on first so if anybody else wants to try that one then be my guest…

Some issue ideas I had based on recent (or in one case not so very recent) events, but which I can't really write anymore:
- a foreign state threatening an act of cultural destruction
- police body cameras
- corruption in the finance industry
- dissolution of the monastries
- asteroid mining
- smartphone coverage

I'll try a FIFA one.

Asteroid mining? That's a bit... ahead of our time, although a worthy idea. See what I can do.

I already asked an editor about this, but in case they don't know I might as well put it down. Can you create an issue whose validity deals with trophies that you earned? It would greatly extend validity options and lead to a new look for issues if it's possible. I was just wondering.

Not at present, but feel free to post a Draft issue that requires it, along with a good explanation of why it's needed. If your rationale is good enough, we can ask admin if it's technically possible.

Cool! I already made a draft, but I probably should put in the rationale. Thanks for the help.

Anyone working on a space junk one yet? I guess it'd only apply to nations with a keen interest in outer space.

The basic issue is pretty much self explanatory - space junk blah blah blah - launches etc.
I figured out 2 options
1) Launching satelites that harpoon space junk and pull it down
or
2) developing re-usable spacecraft.
Other than that I'm a bit stuck.

Start a thread on it. Those seem good starts; maybe a third could be developing some kind of space laser to shoot space junk (with assurances it would never be used for military purposes, of course
).
