How to improve my environment

Postby Marennes » Fri Aug 26, 2016 10:16 am

Is there a way to improve on a nation's environment? I don't like having my nation a barren wastelands and having my national animal on the verge of extinction.

Select pro-environment options in issues.

1/. Choose issue options that obviously help the environment, even though this may harm your economy. It is possible to have both a beautiful environment and a powerful economy (see this nation, itself, for an example) but that takes careful balancing and a moderately long time...
If the potential effects of options aren't clear enough to you then you can post in the 'Got Issues?' thread and ask whether anybody can & will advise you about them, although you doing so "too often" might reduce people's helpfulness.

2/. Join the WA, support GA proposals that fall into the 'Environment' category, and oppose GA proposals that are classified either as 'Free Trade' or 'Advancement of Industry': again, though, this will hurt your economy.

(includes The Ursine NorthLands) Demonym = Bear[s]; adjective = ‘Urrsish’.
Population = just under 20 million. Economy = only Thriving. Average Life expectancy = c.60 years. If the nation is classified as 'Anarchy' there still is a [strictly limited] national government... and those aren't "biker gangs", they're traditional cross-Clan 'Warrior Societies', generally respected rather than feared.

Sacrifice your economy for your environment for now. All the changes happen when you answer daily issues, so just pick environmentally friendly choices when they are available

I checked your Environmental Beauty Rank. This is the one you want to improve. See, its low. Like really low. Everything below some 150 is low. Wait until you get the Uranium Mining Issue, if you choose you preserve Rainforest it will go high a lot.

It's doesn't always have to be harmful to your environment. Mine's remained pretty stable despite ruthlessly protecting the environment. A lot of times your economy becomes more powerful, evidently through the Tourism sector.
