Chaos Marines, led by Lord General Sygian, storm the gates of Moscow

Empire of Russia Invaded!

Chaos Legions swarmed the region, aided by their allies, all in the quest for glory and conquest. Through the long, cold Russian winter they marched, until they arrived to find the Gates of Moscow ripe for the storming, and completely decimated the city, and claimed it for Firehelm. It was a blast from the past for former natives Vapid and Trever, if not a bit bittersweet return for some fun in the winter sun. All in all, 4 hailed from Firehelm, 2 from The Kingdom of Great Britain, 7 from USSD, 3 from The Invaders and 2 from The Chaos Brigade, along with 1 merc. The Operation will be temporary and the region returned soon enough, but it sure was a blast. Thank you to all the troops who served with us in this operation.

Chaos Marines Involved:
Lieutenant Personchan-Point
Lord General Sygian the infernal devourer-Trigger
Lord General Nyx Vasentius
Chaos Guard Seteh

Foreign Troops Involved:
KGB Fleet Admiral Krimsonland
KGB Captain Austalia1
KGB Corporal Wesstmooreland
USSD Fleet Admiral Vetelo
USSD Marshal Neu-Ulm
USSD Captain Concordato Tauriano
USSD Warrant Officer Neu Terra
USSD Starshina The Liberal Socialist State of Mannheim
USSD Senior Sailor NRSSR
USSD Sailor Weeaboo Jonesy
The Invaders Lieutentant Pracinha
The Invaders Lieutenant Malvacka

I mean, I would think there would be pressure to improve and have more impressive operations, no? I'm not sure what you all are using that would take triggers so long to set, but perhaps your C.O's could look into teaching it more efficiently?

To be honest, I could have set more triggers, I just chose not to. A raid is a raid, I just did this for a bit of fun. Would you have preferred I not report our successes, no matter how minimal, at all (I suspect this is the case)? I by no means claimed to set a record or do something very great, I just triggered and reported the raid and decided to have a bit of fun in the report. If you're expecting something great from me just yet, check back in a few months. Maybe I'll end up hitting a grand total of 3 regions next time. One can only dream. ;)

It's best not to respond to them. He's just trying to bait you into saying something you'll regret. You did great, Vapid! You'll do even greater things as time comes! (Also be sure to include the two regions that we reinforced)

The more triggers you set, the more practice you get. That's the way I see it anyway. I've got no issue with reports, I'm just not a fan of the fact that the standards for them are so significantly less now that 2-3 region tag runs are a report-worthy thing within this day and age. I mean, yes it's still an operation, but there's not much there and there seems to be a lot more fanfare and coddling towards smaller stuff like this than it deserves.

Again, I was out last night so these two jumps could have been the most amazing two jumps in existence, it just feels like there's a lack of ambition when you're getting people online for two tag raids.

If I recall correctly, Tim, no one on the raiding side is complaining, only the defenders are. No one I raided with has said that I wasted their time. I told Scieca, Sygian, and Servus that it would be a small tag raid. They all decided to "tag" along anyways. In short, the only person being negative towards this raid in any way is you and funkadelia, and I can't say I'm very surprised in either case, seeing as you're both defenders. There was not a lack of ambition on my part or their part: I wanted to do something that was fun, not strenuous on either me or them after the miss two nights ago. In the future, I'll be sure to do more tags to appease your definition of ambition. Basically, I did this for fun, not to support a quota or to appease defenders' definitions of success. That's the only reason I do raiding: for fun.

Your enforcement of a low standard for raid activity is sad to see.

Your accusations of baiting are baseless, and divisive.

I won't be negative towards your raid, but as a former raider and a current defender, I will be negative towards your attitude. I raided for fun. I raided 90+ days total, until the fun was gone. Then I stuck around for the community, until the community turned to shit (in my opinion). Your post, that I'm responding to right now? You make a great defense of your operation. The problem is that you make it about defenders vs. raiders. I've seen Tim when he's just stirring shit up. This isn't it. This is Tim genuinely wanting you guys to have bigger operations. As for Funk, yeah, he's shit-posting and mocking y'all. It happens, regardless of which side you fall on.

There are people on the raiding side complaining, I'm sure of it. I know there are people on the defender side that aren't complaining. When it comes down to it, Vapid, it's a matter of player opinion, not alignment.
