Let's not assume non-Directorate members speak on behalf of The Invader Network in an official capacity, shall we?

The USSD and The Invader Network, out of mutual respect, agreed that it would be beneficial to both parties for USSD to withdraw from this military organization. Plain and simple. There's no need to read any more in between the lines.

Anyhow, to conclude discussions regarding Operation Golden Gate, it is my pleasure as Field Marshal and Commander-in-Chief of The Invader Network to make the following announcement.

Nearly sixty troopers of The Invader Network, assisted by The West Pacific Armed Forces, Exodus, and Firehelm for a garrison of eighty invaders, deployed over the course of two days to Social Liberal Union under Operation Golden Gate. After claiming total victory, the region was held for several updates until the regional founder returned after a five year hiatus from NationStates. For the professionalism and capability demonstrated through this massive display of strength, all participants are hereby awarded the following service bar:

That's interesting. Because your leaders have been claiming that the return of the founder was actually their intention all along. An act of charity, to benefit the region. They have also been claiming that you were always planning on surrendering anyway, that they didn't really mean it when they said "permanent".

It would be delusional to think they could have kept SLU indefinitely. 3 separate nations in the region have over 100K influence, as well as many others having extremely high influence. It would have taken them forever to banject any significant portion of the region. It is the same with other very large and historic founderless regions - such as Capitalist Paradise back in the summer of 2012. Some regions will never be able to be forcefully cleared, which is what makes influence and cross-endorsing so important in founderless regions.

so yesterday DC and Elfin decided to raid my region as a prank because the night before I was debating DC about cats
today I made Elfin re-raid it to de-tag it rather than revive the founder myself
not because I didn't have founder access but
because I'm a challenging or childish person.

Thanks everyone for your concerns, but for this particular case, I think my region's the only exception, as I've done weird things with it...such as making anyone who enters a regional officer...not that it's encouraged anyone join it! D:
