I'm looking for a new (or fairly new) region, I would like to be a cartographer and participate as a non WA-member. Earth based map preferred, not interested in raiding/similar. If someone's thinking of creating a new region and needs a cartographer, feel free to shoot me a telegram.

Update: Hopefully some of the nations model their forces or other things with pixel art, would be kind of weird if all other nations used a more realistic art / 3d style.

While I can't guarantee about pixle art in factbooks, I can recommend Renegade Islands Alliance as a modern tech region, though we also have a good number of 1800s themed roleplays at the moment. But most people are more than willing to start up a roleplay with others. We also have most other kinds of roleplay on our offsite forums, but again, the primary RP focus is MT.

Oh that seems pretty nice for Sunalaya. Sunalaya is a realistic modern tech region, with a nice active community(open 22/7 in Rhods words) and an active RP. We have an interesting active roleplay and a fun RMB!

Hi! Ordis is a realistic MT region dedicated to RP and worldbuilding, so I'm sure we'd be a good fit for you. And we're very much interested in new, active members; especially socialist or quasi-socialist states, since we only have one at the moment. Authoritarian and militaristic is very good too.

Regarding pixel art; I and at least two other people in the region model their military stuff with pixel art, while the rest primarily use photographs as stand-ins.

You could just make your own region. I know lots of people who did that because none of the current regions peaked their interest.

The International Democratic Union is an old and well-established region with a Founder who's there to provide protection against 'invasion' but who doesn't meddle with the region's internal democracy (and control of it is actually shared between several long-term & reliable members of the region, for added security). We hold regular elections (open to all WA members who've been present in the region for at least the preceding week) for WA Delegate.
Although the region prefers Democracy we're actually open to nations of other types too, unless they're openly Nazi or blatantly racist.

If all that you want to do is sit quietly and answer your issues then that’s fine, but if you want to be more active then _

Our RMB and forum vary in activity, but new conversations there are welcome as long as they're reasonably polite.

We have a map, which admittedly hasn't been updated for a while but for which we have quite recently appointed a new Cartographer.

If you decide that you'd like to submit any proposals to the GA then we can & will offer help from successful authors in getting your ideas into reasonably good shape before you post them for a wider audience in the GA's own forum.

And if you want to customise your nation's fauna & flora instead of just using a RL country's wildlife then we also have somebody (i.e. me) who can provide [reasonably] scientifically plausible advice about interesting ways in which to do so.

• A map not based on the Earth. Preferably something good-looking that is still easy for me to edit (in case I want to make a map of my nation depicting it's provinces, for example).
• An active roleplaying community that I can brainstorm and build ties with. This nation features segregation and people being required to live in their 'homeland' (albeit there are rules around it and such), so I get that I won't be the diplomatic it-girl/it-boy/it-nation but still. Every nation, even North Korea, trades and has ties with others.
• Not too strict rules in regards to providing data right away. I'm more than willing to do so but as this nation is very much still in development, I won't be able to say if my nation has 20,000 infantry men, 10,000 marines, etc precisely at this point. Or if there are four or [fill in the number] of terrorist organizations, etc. I'm totally willing to put fleshing out certain parts of my nation first, however, if there's certain data you'd like to absolutely have. I'm currently looking at having 55 million citizens, although I'm willing to scale that up or down to suit the region.
• A 'open' region. I'd like to be able to roleplay with nations outside of the region and let those roleplays count (so that if I make a storefront, for example, and it goes well, it will boost the economy of the area it's situated in). I will look at regions that only allow in-region roleplaying, although I'd prefer a very large and/or very active community in that case.

I'm willing to write an RP sample (be it through TG or here on the forums), come in for a test period, answer any questions and so forth. I'd prefer TG replies, although that's more because I like getting TG's.

Basically described Sunalaya, and we have all your points except your last as we are a closed canon region. However you can make your storefronts Sunalaya only and trade with players like that. Other then that you'll like it.

I am a "veteran" of NS, and I have been shopping around for a region ever since my previous one died of inactivity. I am looking for the following:

1. RP region. Preferably MT, but beggars can't be choosers.
2. Relatively small. As in, a small (20ish) group of active users. I am not worried about total numbers.
3. Active. The more active, the better.
4. Open-minded. I won't even consider regions that exist solely to bash others.

So yeah. That's that. Pretty specific, I know, but I'm pretty sure it exists somewhere, and it takes a long time to go through the thousands of RP-tagged region.

Sorry but I don't think your region is the one for me at this point in time. That being said, I will keep it in mind should I need to change regions later on.

If you're into nation roleplaying, then The Western Isles is most definitely a region you will enjoy! We pride ourselves on our focus on realistic nation roleplaying and world building. We have one of the best looking maps there is which is regularly updated with new nations, and our regional OOC government is entirely democratic so that even new nations can actively contribute to the region as well.

Kinda on the lookout for an open RP focused region of somewhat smallish size that doesn't have a regional government or set map. (since i already drew a map for my nation) or otherwise really restrictive canon that messes with what i establish for my own nation.

I think my current region kinda fits the bill, i quite like it, and i somewhat suspect my only solution other then staying is to make my own someday but am always open to checking out ones that are similar, cause i hope i'm wrong about thinking there aren't regions out there like i described.
