The forums that will be used are a neutral forum that are under the control of the committee, who will appoint appropriate neutral administrators for IP security. The hosts will still have a say in how that forum looks and is set up, but the forum will not be administered by them.

1) What does setting up a booth mean? Is it basically a forum post to advert the region?

2) Lectures: Must it be NS related or anything goes?

No problem

1) Basically, you will be given your own forum on the main index page of the World Fair. Generally in the past, each venue/booth has been used by the regions to host various activities, AMA's, topics about important events in the region (Like a year or so ago, TNP's booth featured a history of our flag, as it was the 10th anniversary for example). Venues also generally make their own graphics that people display in their signature, to indicate what venues they have visited during the fair.

Some booths will host spam games, others will be general topics for discussion, or even ideas for NS reform. It is really up to you what you put in there.

2) Lectures are generally about NS topics. They can cover anything from GP, RP, or even technical matters. In the past we have had Lecturers like Xoriet (for example) talk about feminist issues in NationStates (obviously a simplification of her lecture), we've had Eluvatar/Hobbes talk about technology available, and WA authors, RPers, and other influential figures give topics on issues from NS history, to more modern matters. I would certainly welcome a lecture from you, even if it was about your GP history. Ananke did one relatively recently that was very interesting.

Todd McCloud has spoken to a few of us NSSporters on IRC about the possibility of a booth for the sporting community - obviously he's going to swing it by the Committee first before anything happens.

Regardless, I'd like to prepare a lecture on NS Sport. I way well get some of the other grandees of that particular subsection to assist, too.
