I have been in contact with Funkadelia on behalf of Balder specifically, mainly post this statement, but briefly before it. I think there was a misunderstanding of what the "prospective question" consists of though. The nature of questions hasn't been one of offering and refusing aid, but one of ascertaining what the future of PRL holds, and how this relates to Balder and the wider world. There are some differences of opinion between Balder and Lazarus leadership, and remember we are talking about two regions, who pre-coup had no ambassadorial relations at all, the embassies having been long closed down.

It's all very well you expecting us to just overlook all the differences of the past now Lazarus is in need, but it's a difficult proposition. Lazarus was once allied to a number of independent and imperialist regions in addition to Balder, but all those alliances are long defunct, and there has existed little but antipathy between the parties for well over a year now. To expect those whom PRL treated with contempt to rally to your aide without hesitation in this time of need, would be naive.

If you have come here to criticise Balder for not helping what was pre-coup a frankly belligerent regime, then I suggest you are wasting your time, and acting counter-productively to the interests of your region, which are to overcome these differences and work with partners that Lazarus has not worked with since the rise of the NPO to power there. There is some way to go before it can be said whether this is possible or not though.

Nobody has time for this B.S. or your "some way to go," NES. Bottom line, here: If Balder and its allies snipe from the sidelines here, don't expect the rest of us to do anything but snipe from the sidelines when Balder faces a coup at some point in the future. As it remains the only Feeder or Sinker that has never experienced a coup d'etat, that it will experience one in the future is a virtual inevitability, and your attitude is shooting that future Balder during that future coup in the foot right now.

Or Balder can go on making a joke of itself and the entire situation, on proud display in front of its increasingly uncomfortable treaty allies, that works too.

Hail the New Balder Order Grand Nordic Order of Balder, its ridiculous looking rip-off flag, and its complete absence of law or a democratic institution to legislate! o/ o/ o/

I appreciate that your first reaction when you don't get your way is still to lash out counter-productively. You didn't need to clarify that. :p

This isn't me lashing out counter-productively, that involves expletives and usually IRC bans. This is me joking dismissively, because that seems to be the method in which Balder prefers to diplomatically communicate these days. ;)

No worries, I remain an incredibly unprofessional diplomat. However, as we are discussing this situation in Balder's embassy, and you are an official of Balder, it would seem to me that this constitutes diplomatic communication.

Regardless, my point is, do whatever you need to do. I don't care. It's not like Balder has a military that would be of use to either side and you've so thoroughly smashed your credibility with this NBO, flag, hey let's abolish our laws stuff that your diplomatic support or opposition doesn't mean much either. I mean, maybe you can have some impact at that conference on democracy in Osiris between Feeder and Sinker heads of state.

Oh, Balder wasn't invited? What a shame.

Balder has been a consistent and stable force for a long time, and despite the period of reform there is every reason to suppose that Balder will be around for a long time to come. Long term relevance isn't based on short term noise, but on the commitment of a regions membership. I would know a thing or two about that given my time in the game. Ultimately, I am sure Balder will have an impact on events in NS just as much as its fellow GCRs, and far in excess of the ability to posture in an individual conference. I look forwards to the outcomes of the conference nonetheless.

Balder's fellow GCR's are going to be growing less in number if this is the stance it takes towards the NPO's actions.

Depends how you define winning. NPO may be tightening their grip over Lazarus, but they are really paying for it on the diplomatic end of things. Lost relations with all the GCR, except Balder who doesn't wanna take a side.

Exactly what Stalker said. I hope Lazarus was sincerely worth it to the NPO, since the NPO has lost GCR support all over the place.

The Pacific thinks in years though, I mean the current events were 2+ years in the making from the original formation of the PRL by the same NPOers. Do you believe Elegrath in TWP? He could be pretty decent now and just biding his for 4 years from now, when we've all forgotten and the next generation GPers takes it at face value, then, then bam New West Pacific Order :P
