Jump Point help

Postby New Crazy131 » Wed Dec 17, 2014 1:10 pm

Hey, everyone. I'm not sure if this is the right place or not, but I'm trying to create a directory dispatch for all current and past Jump Points. The problem is, I don't know every one defenders and Invaders use. So, can anyone give me a list of jump points.

Nice try? :P Not that they're hidden or anything, most of us know most of the others'

Heck, I'll list some defender ones, though I warn some are mostly inactive and I'm not going to list orgs for fear of mixing them up :P

Launching Point
Unity
Spear Dane
Wrangel

Never seen activity here, it's quite early now, but http://www.nationstates.net/region=eggplant_city I've heard once was

I could name a few old TEK ones, but they're all early now, rumor is they've found a new one. Haven't seen it yet, but I also haven't watched an update in a week or two.

People continually make new ones, though, including instant ones, or just use any region later than their target. What's the goal here?

WHat the hell, it's dead anyways - Sicarius used to use the United Nations of Chester, but that worked up to about quarter 'till so we got a new one, Valrifell is Mean. That, however, underwent a mishap and CTE'd a few days after we shut down by accident. Someone refounded it, but as far as I know no one's bothered to check if it still updates late or not.

What purpose would this directory serve?

We have three that update at 12:59 Minor Update or later with only one or two regions in between each, so we'll be using a currently unannounced region (beginning refounding process) or the first region I'm about to list. However I'm currently working out a deal with some allies to give away the other two, TheWorldRegion and/or Nightlands so those may become Jump Points soon. Unfortunately not the latest updating in the game, but it's up there. We're still searching for better ones.

As for past Jump Points, we've used Nations of the World for many months and before that The Eternal Valley, however neither of them update late anymore. We 'borrowed' The Valley of the Wind back when it was founderless by seizing the delegacy to use it as a temporary jump point until we could make our own, however it is owned by Vandoosa and used by GNI and small Raider orgs occasionally. We've also occasionally used Land Land before and after we refounded it. There was one more we used for stealth ops that we didn't want affiliated with us, but I don't remember what it was because we only used it twice.

The main purpose of this directory is to make it easier to find all the active and inactive Jump Points used by regions involved in R/D gameplay.

Anyone, I guess. The dispatch is just there to help ''people'' find them.

I'm not sure where else to ask this, but how does one go about making a jump point?

You can make an instant one for a given update by founding it once the update has started. No guarantee it'll stay late though. Otherwise? Potshots. Make a bunch, one might be late. Come back in a few months, might not be. Happened to A Sicarius one - went from 55 to 45 over a few months. Had to make a new one. Actually got lucky, a joke region one of us made ended up being about 57.

I've noticed the later it is, the less likely it tends to be to slowly move earlier.
