I propose we discuss the structure first?

Hello! I am glad that you have taken the time to discuss the restarting of this initiative and I assure you that I am certainly with you on this. One thing I don't however approve of is the name 'United Regions 2.0'. I would propose we either keep the name as it is or come up with something better. As for structure, let's keep it as simple as possible. I suggest we set up a separate region to act as the interregional legislature and devote a 'proxy nation's' factbook to storing the resolutions passed by said assembly. I hope this debate amounts to improving this great initiative!

The original names of the organization was United Regions Initiative. We could have a variation of that name or keep the 'United Regions' name.
With regards to the separate region and factbook, I fully agree. Although I think one of the main flaws of the original version was the lack of inclusiveness. I propose we open this region up to everyone, to partake in discussions on the rmb and to work together.

I think keeping the name similar is a good idea. I would suggest the United Regions Alliance.

Just from my experience with the AoI Commonwealth - You need to be able to give something in return for them joining. Just asking them to join pointlessly is a waste of your and their time. You also need to make sure you are not too restrictive with their responsibilities.

I think United Regions Alliance sounds good. Glad to see effort to rebuild it, it would be sad to let the potential it had go to nothing.

One thing I feel we need is to strengthen the connection between all of our regions to make this work better. Not just a region for all of us to meet and discuss alliance issues but we could perhaps develop cross regional rps for those into rping and other activities and events for non rpers. Something to make us feel more like a true group rather than a loose affiliation.

Any idea what you could offer people joining? What's the purpose? What's the benefits?

Jydara's suggestion of Interregional activities is, in my opinion, a good incentive, allowing regions to form stronger bonds with other regions.
Security wise, the NATO clause of mutual defense applies.

It doesn't explain the benefits of the United regions. What is so special about it? What benefits do they obtain by joining?

Protection or something. Not sure...

I like the rebuilding of this, we have needed it for a while.

I believe the treaty is a bit harsh, personally at least, in terms to sections 10, 12, and 13.

I find it very problamatic that only after 6 months can the treaty be edited. I think that a clause should be implemeted that a 3/4's majority, or a 2/3rds majority may at any time alter the treaty, and then after the 6 months only a simple majority is needed.

I think that the whole year thing in terms of leaving is a bit harsh, seeing as most regions wont wait that long. I think a 2 weeks notice should be enough

I want to know what the terms of acession to the treaty is, because that sounds very menacing if we are trying to get new members.

Makes sense. How will you provide the protection - A shared military?
