Information on the People’s Government of The Communist Bloc



The Communist Bloc (TCB) is a region with a Socialist/Communist theme. Citizens elect the General Secretary and their representatives to the Central Committee of the Workers’ Party which crafts and approves regional legislation as well as sets internal Party procedure and policy. All citizens are members of the Workers’ Party and may propose legislation to be discussed and voted on by the Central Committee via the public gallery. The executive administration is chosen and ran by the General Secretary of the Party who acts as de facto head of government. Interpretation and enforcement of criminal and civil law is handled by the People’s Court, led by the Supreme Justice.



A Brief History of the Bloc




The Communist Bloc was founded on December 29, 2013. Initially a republic, the Bloc underwent a righteous revolution on September 26, 2015 to transform itself into the People’s Republic that it is today.

Founded by a coalition of five individuals from separate leftist regions, TCB quickly established itself as a great power within the NationStates (NS) Left, working with many other regions to achieve mutual goals and promote the fight against Fascism across NS. It made important friendships with other influential regions in order to build a strong foundation for the multi-regional cooperation it enjoys today.

Under a purely republican form of governance however, the region faced many hardships and struggles dealing with internal sabotage and increasingly radicalised political sects. In September 2015, a group of regionalist revolutionaries proclaimed the People’s Republic of The Communist Bloc and the formation of the Workers’ Party of TCB as the revolutionary vanguard party. TCB continues to thrive as one of the largest and strongest region in the world thanks to the hard work and perseverance of it’s dedicated and loyal citizenry.



Information on the People’s Revolutionary Armed Forces



The People’s Revolutionary Armed Forces (PRAF) was founded following the September Revolution as the military arm of the Workers’ Party; formed primarily of military personnel of the predecessor armed forces. The PRAF is currently made up of a single Battalion commanded by a commissioned officer of General rank. The Armed Forces are extremely dedicated to taking brand new players and citizens of the Bloc and turning them into educated and effective soldiers. The PRAF is a trained and disciplined military with a dedicated programme to upskill the squad leaders of the Bloc’s future and create many future generations of dedicated soldiers and Party members.

What social activities will you find in the Bloc and what should you expect your fellow citizens to be like? TCB hosts a wide range of people, varying across politics (left and right), nationality, all genders, religion or lack thereof, and NS gameplay.

Happy birthday, old lad!

Today the German Democratic Republic would celebrate its 65th birthday. 65 years ago the Soviet military administration decided to found a new German nation that would occupy the modern states of Saxony, Thuringia, Brandenburg, Sachsen-Anhalt and Mecklenburg. Work was plenty, flats were built all over the nation and the GDR lead in science and sports. Their interest in science is still noticable up to date, as students from the former East have an advantage in chemistry, biology and physics over their West German counterparts.

Before I go on ranting about the hypocrisy of the Federal Republic, I want to make clear I do know not everything was perfect in the GDR. My father, too, was forced to shoot at people for trying to surpass the border. My grandparents hid their wedding photograph for decades, because they feared my grandfather would be fired if someone saw his Wehrmacht uniform on it. Maybe, if the GDR didn’t decide to lock its citizens in an (admittedly) golden cage, it would have fallen later. But that’s not my topic either.

What really annoys me is how the GDR has been demonized ever since its existence; how arrogant politicians of my beloved fatherland speak of it. It is most telling that Nazi criminals were easily readmitted into society in West Germany, but anyone who had to do with the Stasi or SED was the devil in person. Now it’s true that the situation after the Second World War was a different one and although East Germany managed to rebuild without Nazi officials, the decision of West Germany and its allies was at least somewhat understandable.

But let’s take a look at some other points. Up to date it’s a common belief in politics and therefore sadly our society that Stasi prisons were pure torture devices. It is frowned upon how there were executions. Even if many of the responsible persons are dead already, the criticism never silences, unrelated to how often the torture myth has been proven to be a pure exception. Nonetheless, if stories of torture in CIA prisons are revealed, there will be no single word if criticism. The death penalty in some states of the US is rarely mentioned, only the media sometimes talks about it.

I don’t demand that our government stops talking about the crimes that were committed in the GDR. However, if we are that good at preaching morals, we should also have the balls to stand up to our so-called friends. It’s sad how half of all East Germans still see the GDR and not the Federal Republic as their home. Not because of the GDR, we can’t choose our home country, but because these people are still not understood.

Happy birthday, GDR. I never really got to meet you, but still you’re going to continue to exist inside me. Not only because we shall not forget your bad sides. In fact, I rather fear people will forget you also had good sides. Last but not least: Vorwärts immer, rückwärts nimmer!

Legislative & Judicial Elections Completed

Another step forward for the Republic and its people!


Elections came to a close 8PM EST on Wednesday, finishing the first elections for the Assembly Council of the People's Democratic Assembly since new reforms were passed in its previous session, creating the council. Elections were also completed for the Senior & Junior justices of The People's Court, a day after Comrade Kenneth Cochrane was appointed as Chief Justice by the Dear Leader. The further development of our court and legislature will be key during this legislative term. A proper regional criminal code is expected to be a large focus of the Assembly as well as re-consideration of multiple major constitutional amendments.


As the court race became a simple electoral technicality because only 1 candidate (Comrade ASSR/American Soviet Socialist Republics) stood for Senior Justice and only 1 candidate (Comrade The Steppe Peoples) stood for Junior Justice, the Assembly Council race became competitive and extremely close. When polls closed, all 7 candidates recieved between 10 and 12 votes, 4 of them recieving 11 and nearly leading to a large runoff. The result is a very split result among all internal political groups in the region.


The Socialist Party of The Communist Bloc (SPCB) was one of the obvious winners in this election, gaining a seat another seat on the Assembly Council (Comrade Togeria) as well as a Junior Justice on the Court (Comrade Lentrotka). The newly formed One Country Policy, a newer party focused upon expanding military power and strongly pro-Zennyism, gained its first seat in the Assembly (Comrade Grin) and the Senior Justice seat on the court (Comrade ASSR). The Democratic Action Front, the region's first political party led by the Dear Leader, lost one its representatives: 1st Son of the Dear Leader Modern Sin Fominov. Replaced by Comrade Safyire, the party loses nor gains. Independent candidates Comrade Tactia and Comrade Westnesia also won.

Population Spikes As Region Continues Moving Forward

We did it! As we near the 1 year anniversary of our Republic being founded, we have broke the 200 nation mark after a lot of effort, time, and plenty of stamps. Comrade Minister & 1st Son of the Dear Leader Modern Sin Fominov has spearheaded the region's recruitment policies and has worked tirelessly for the growth of the region and creating a stronger more unified regional culture. In his report to the region on the progress of the Immigration Ministry, the Comrade Minister stated "According to a recent graph composed by the Dear Leader Zenny, our rate of growth has increased exponentially in the last week or so, and I have every intention of capitalizing on this momentum by reviewing and improving my recruitment strategies across the board in the coming days. Our regional RMB is as active as it has ever been, with a healthy blend of political discussion, small talk, RP, joking, news and policy updates, and well-deserved praise for the Zenny administration and its Zennyist ideology."

Along with recruitment policies, the People's Revolutionary Armed Forces has quadrupled in size to almost 20 enlisted men & women. Operations & training are being conducted 5 days a week by the Dear General President Zenny. The Armed Forces has captured tens of regions in the last 30 days and has continued to train for offensive campaigns and holds. The men and the women of the armed forces are of course showered with praise from all members of our region as well as regular award ceremonies. The people are determined to keep up the giant momentum boost the region has seen and are ready to work tirelessly for the Republic, the Dear Leader, the First Family, and the Great Zennyist Ideology.

Regional Show of Force A Massive Success

The People's Revolutionary Armed Forces in a large show of force has aided massively in the capture & occupation of Congress of Armed Proletarian States (CAPS). With the help of Libertatem & Glorious Nations of Iwaku, we have pushed forward and now stand at over 40 endorsements. Allies of Libertatem including REATO members were called in as well, contributing 13 soldiers, matching the Bloc's 13.

This action comes after multiple provocations against our Republic by North Korea and Das Kommune, including attacking controlled regions of the Bloc and spreading propaganda that the Dear Leader, who is a Jew, is incredibly sympathetic to the National Socialist cause and supports Nazism both in game and real life, a complete lie that shows the true immaturity of both regions and their inability to be taken seriously, hence why V Ming has stuffed North Korea with well over 90 puppets. Both regions were influential members of the failed inter-regional organization, which was later converted into a museum. Outrage spread across the leftist realm of NationStates, completely ignoring the situation in The International Communist Union, and instead of organizing to fight Nazism and aid a region with a community and history, the far-left instead organized multiple counter-attacks in a region that was closed, passworded, and nothing more than a museum for an organization that was alive for less than half a year and served as nothing more than a scam for regions to give up internal control of their armed forces. All attempts at taking it back have failed.

This ongoing operation is the largest in our history and was seen as a fantastic way to show what our armed forces are capable of. Turnout among our soldiers was incredibly high, and all were able to carry out orders in a timely manner. The Republic will not be bullied and backed into a corner by North Korea, the Tyrant V-Ming, or any of her puppet governments like Das Kommune. The People's Revolutionary Armed Forces will fight against all forms of authoritarianism and befriend all those in favor of basic political rights, a democratic process which does not discriminate, and the ideal that all ideologies and backgrounds can and should live together in peace without fear of banishment or persecution.

You're very welcome to And it doesn't matter, we embrace just about everyone here. I'm not even a Communist (its a nice idea and all, but not very practical or achievable in my opinion), I lean towards Democratic Socialism. But we have Conservatives, Imperialists, Monarchists, just about everything other than icky Nazis. We are obviously -mostly- Communists and Socialists thought ^_^ Equal protection under the law & freedom of speech for all.

Stamp Donation Drive a Success as Population Hits New High!


The Immigration Ministry begins processing donations

The Republic has continued its move up the ranks of the world, moving into the top 20 regions of the entire world and peaking on December 5th at nearly 450 nations. This comes after months of hard work from the Immigration Ministry led by 1st Son of the Dear Leader, Modern Sin Fominov. The Bloc has more doubled its population within 90 days since the inauguration of Great Leader President Zenny, from under 200 in September to 428 at the time of this update.

This week, our Dear General President Zenny has created a stamp donation guide for the region and began a 48 hour drive to gather donations for the Winter recruitment campaign. Within that 48 hour span, the Republic was able to raise 71,000 telegram stamps from its members which Immigration Minister Modern Sin confirmed would last the Republic through most if not all of the Winter. As the great principles set in Zennyism push our region forward, the people grow in energy, enthusiasm, and numbers!

As far as I know (I usually just beat my Immigration Minister to work harder), we typically go for refounds and new nations, usually going through.... I'd say 5,000 stamps per week roughly. But since the winter months are more active, it'd probably be around 7-8k.

PDA Elections Close, Pro-Zennyists Swing Back Into Majority

Legislative elections concluded the evening of December 8th with the Democratic Action Front gaining a 50% control of the People’s Democratic Assembly (PDA), winning 3 seats compared to their previous 1. The Socialist Party & One Country Party suffered blows as SP and OCP both lost 1 seat each, pushing One Country out of the PDA and the Socialist Party down to 1 remaining seat. After polls closed, newly elected Independent Assemblywoman Brunhilde made the decision to caucus with the Democratic Action Front, giving them a 66.7% majority and enough support to pass Constitutional amendments with ease this term. This is a major shift from the previous term in which there was a clear split between pro-Zennyist parties like the Democratic Action Front & the One Country Party and anti-Zennyist parties such as the Socialist Party & their independent allies which allowed for few pieces of legislation to achieve majority support.

• December 19th ~ The Guide of the Zennyist Revolution President Zenny has announced a shift in policy regarding our Republic and its relations with other leftist regions. This resolution which features a cease of military cooperation with Libertatem & REATO members was hailed as a major step by both supporters and opposition of the current administration. Our Great Leader has made it clear that our Republic will cease hostilities with leftist regions and continue to focus on strengthening our ties with regions like Balder, British Isles, United Kingdom, and many other regions not in the leftist or rightist sphere as we move onto working with major players on the world stage. • December 19th ~ The Dear Leader President Zenny and Comrade Brunhilde were wed on Thursday in the Free Protestant Church, run by Reverend Alexander Stewart. This marriage was the first carried our within our borders and cheers came from here at home and from abroad. The Spouse of the Dear Leader Comrade Brunhilde is the Republic's 1st First Lady and was recently elected to the People's Democratic Assembly. With this marriage, Dear Leader President Zenny and her wife have opted to create their own branch house under the House of Fominov, to be know as Winter. • December 19th ~ The Republic is gearing up for its 9 day festival in celebration of not only Christmas time, but the 1 year anniversary of our foundation. The TCB Central News Agency has been leaked a list of activities that all citizens will be able to enjoy including music & movie nights, group games, spam, contests, a TCB awards show, and the long-awaited Commuvision! • December 16th (World News) ~ As our great Republic advances on the world stage, major well-established regions are now contemplating reaching out us and starting formal relations. This is a major shift in foreign policy for the region, moving from a focus of smaller regions with 20 to 100 nations to regions anywhere from 200 to 4,900 nations. In Europeia, Vice Presidential candidate Rachel Anumia (on the ticket with Presidential candidate Seven Deaths) has stated that she believes TCB "in particular is a prime candidate" for establishing strong ties and coordinating militarily. Comrade Rachel is also Queen of the Game-Created Region Balder, and this may be the beginning of stronger TCB-Balder relations.
  
  
  
• December 14th ~ After a controversial race for the position, Comrade Lentrotka has been elected Chairman of the People's Democratic Assembly. Lentrotka led the 1st ballot with 3 votes over Comrade Brunhilde's 2 and Syndikat's 1. After an inconclusive 1st ballot, a short campaign period was given with both candidates stating their qualifications and wishes if elected. For most of the race it seemed though a tie would be made, allowing Vice President Westnesia to issue an executive vote. However a last-minute vote from Comrade Tactia put Lentrotka over the top with 4 votes.
  
  
  
• December 12th ~ Our Dear General President Zenny has announced that she has selected Comrade Benn (Known as Tony Benn) as her Minister of Foreign Affairs after a long vacancy of the post. Comrade Tony Benn has been a long-time friend of the Republic and currently serves as Prime Minister of British Isles, a close region to the Republic who have trained with our soldiers on multiple occasions. In her statement, the Dear Leader expressed her belief in her new Minister's ability saying "I am completely confident of his ability not only to excel in this post but be able to properly advise me and my Cabinet on issues related to diplomacy and foreign affairs."
