Joshua Bluteisen Wins Election
Guardian of Atef to be next Pharaoh
In a landslide victory ending in a ten-point lead, Joshua Bluteisen, a long-term resident of Osiris and a member of the Osiran Security Council, has been elected to be the next Pharaoh of Osiris.
When asked to comment on the results, the former Pharaoh, Treize_Dreizehn, also known as The Dourian Embassy, gave the following statement:
“Cool.”

Following is an interview with Josh Bluteisen, conducted during the election:
Question One: Tell us about yourself. There's not really much to say; I'm Josh, and I like chocolate milk.
I've only been on NS since January of 2013 and have spent the vast majority of that time in Osiris, and (to a lesser extent), the New Galactic Empire.
I've served in the Medjai Guard, was elected to the Seventh Sepatarchy of the Kemetic Republic, have served in the Deshret since its inception, raided with the Legion, given my time as Vizier and Atef, and acted as an interim delegate following Lord Ravenclaw's resignation.
Question Two: What is the most important issues facing Osiris today? We've burned a lot of bridges over the past few months, and me and my FA department have a lot of work to do; our reputation is, to say the least, not the best at the moment. I'm going to do my best to fix that.
Question Three: Do you have any plans for domestic reform?I don't plan any major structural or thematic changes to the region. We just have to keep calm and carry on.
Question Four: Do you have any plans for foreign policy reform?I'm pretty chill in regards to gameplay alignment and don't feel that it should get in the way of us having relations with other regions outside of military gameplay.
I feel that the bulk of our future (i.e; new) relations will be with smaller, independent user created regions. We all want to have a good time, y'know?
Question Five: Why Osiris? Why did I join Osiris, or why should somebody join Osiris?
I joined because a friend of mine (Lord Ravenclaw) harassed me to create a nation and check out the region he was in. I stuck around because I like the people and community.
Osiris is a unique community; not something that's easy to describe. We're insane, we fight, and we're all fiercely loyal to what we think is best.
This can be good and bad, but ultimately, we all want to move forward, build friendships, and expand as a community.

Vizer Appointment faces opposition
Nominations otherwise uneventful
As part of his duties as Pharoah of Osiris, Bluteisen has made his first of two rounds of Hedjet appointments, the majority of which were uncontroversial,
except for the nomination for Vizer, the former pharaoh Treize Dreizehn, who some of the Deshret are concerned is a potential threat to regional security. Bluteisen has responded to these concerns by pointing out that “...he's loyal, active, and willing to put the time into making this region better.” and that he will not be changing his nomination unless the Deshret votes to block it.
This is not expected to be a very big deal in the long run.

"It was an awesome celebration, and I think taking the time to recognize our close relationship with our ally Balder is something I'm always up for."
-Treize_Dreizehn
"Though I wasn't involved for the first two years of Osiris' history, I've certainly been more involved this last year. I'm glad to see her reach this point, and look forward to many more."
-Severisen
"Two ██holes have continued to be two ██holes for three years, congrats deserved all around!"
-Venico
The sister sinkers of Osiris and Balder have once again come together, both as a display of sinker unity and to celebrate the third year since the founding of both regions. The celebrations, taking place primarily on the Osiran forum, included spam, games and a fifteen-dollar steam raffle provided by Pharaoh Joshua Bluteisen.
"In all seriousness though, we've all come a long way in that time
and I think in a few years we'll be even further"
–Venico
Happy birthday, Osiris.
