Defenders - where you be at?

Jus a continuation of the topic brought forward in another thread~

~~The disbanding of UDL~~...now DRANS...who is around now to oppose raiders? I am aware of Lazarus still having a presence (as minute as it is) but aside from them who else is currently or going to be standing in front of invaded organisations?

The UDL hasn't disbanded: that was a joke by Rach. If you start peddling what the Prunes says as truth, you will look very foolish.

Well other than them who is still about?

TITO, FRA, and LLA still exist. The problem is that we exist but could easily be mistaken for not existing, since we do nothing.

Speak for yourself. My friends and I have been represented in every update and I think the invaders can testify to it. TITO's also been active from what I can tell.

EDIT: I've also seen Rav and one other UDL'er active in recent updates detagging. Also, the EPSA, although officially independent, has been actively defending in recent weeks.

The UDL cannot be disbanded by anyone. It is 'morlock', a bureaucratically degenerated un-dead monster which lives on even it's original purpose has not been fulfilled anymore for long time. Morbid parties and dance over a corpses of defenseless nativedoms will continue in TheSherwood until the end of days.

TBR outriders and scouts Wandering around outskirts of raider armies and invader shogunates has spotted in several occasions random fending entities on a updating taglands recently, which indicate that there are still people online who are indoctrinated to the Doctrine of Defenderism, so deeply it can cause real practical activity for those causes.

Morlock doesn't feed it's children. It eats them making them un-dead zombie-like forum orators for spreading the Defenderist disease to a generations of newcomer R/D wannabes.

A Cure to that disease can be only found on the updating tagfields. Laughing zombies are always more funny to confront then frustrated and passive ones, lost their reason to exist.

These rare ones can still at least provide good targets for a target practice.

This made me chuckle. It didn't always use to be this way. I remember using this very argument myself when the UDL would attack TITO for being "less than active".

The fact of the matter is that many defenders have gloated about their accomplishments in the past. There is nothing wrong with that. If you do something cool, tell everyone.

Defenders are still all over NS. The problem is that defender activity has decreased and become more selective. Not completely of course. TITO is still doing their thing, spotting and defending against larger raids. But they are still selective about their activity as they have always been. EPSA have made a point to detag and defend. But they are independent and don't just focus on defending. The other groups still breathe, but activity has dwindled and put their time into other things that are harder to see. Detagging as a whole has diminished. Less defenders are spotting. And liberations have largely stopped happening.

There are many reasons for this trend overall whether that involves defenders putting more of a focus on feeders/sinkers or raids relying more on increased piling. In many ways, it seems like defending have become more of a political ideology than an active practice.

UDL operations happen continuously. It has just become a chore to detag single nation regions is all. Far more effective to actually liberate occupied regions.
