I haven't seen that happen before, but I'm pretty sure that the most eventful thing that would happen is you would be re-classified as a "psychotic dictatorship". However, that would only be if you were classified as something other than a psychotic dictatorship before your civil rights, economy, and political freedoms tanked; otherwise absolutely nothing would happen.

Is there any way to change the traits "tiny" and "notable for its barren, inhospitable landscape"?

Also, is there a way to place the overview from your factbook as your main page instead of the overview from the game?

Yes, stick around long enough to have a bigger population :P

Yes, answer issues that favor your environment. Warning, economy may suffer if not done just right.

Sorry, no.

Could I trouble some one for a link or something to the best area that describes the Dispatches, Factbooks, etc? I haven't found much good info about them.
Sorry if these are dumb questions but we all started out this way right?
Thanks

I think I might have found some good info now but please do give me any and all advice on the subject.
Thanks

There's a guide here, written by Lord Barry himself, so one can assume it's at least half trustworthy. Here's one for making swankier factbooks. I can't really give you more on design since it is easier for me to link to two easily detestable and easy-to-follow guides. When you decide to write a dispatch, a little notice at the top should let you know what each of the categories are for, and the sub-categories should be pretty self-explanatory.

Hey thanks for this! Have a good one.

If a nation is in the WA but has no endorsements, does it grow in influence faster than a nation that is not in the WA?

You don't gather influence unless you have endorsements, so they're both stuck at 0.

Incorrect. All nations gain influence while active.

Incorrect. All nations gain influence while active.

So does that mean that if ones in the WA (with 0 endorsements) and the other is not, they would gain influence at the same rate?

Yes. WA membership, by itself, has no impact on influence gain.

A non-WA nation gains influence equivalent to a WA nation with up to 10 endorsements I believe. Once past 10 endorsements a WA nation gains influence faster, scaling up with the more endorsements they have.

Literally just got here, hope this is the right place for this simple question…

I think says issues take a day to take effect. Is that 24hours from the moment they appear, rather than they change over at night or morning (local time)?
Basically I want to know what happened, and I'm worried I'll have to wait 24hours to find out

Thanks for any help

The Updates take place twelve hours apart, local time, it is at these updates that your issues take effect and become policy, changing stats and the like. However, these Updates are fixed, and not relative based on a nation, they happen within the same time frame every day, so it could take any stretch of time less than or equal to twelve hours depending on when you answered you issue.

Updates are 12AM and 12PM EST.

In my nationstate, it's a Queendom, and the Queen is a beloved ruler. Are there ways for that to be determined through issue choices?

If you set your type to "Kingdom" and then put a female name down for your leader, it'll become a queendom.

...Which it has already, I see. Sorry, Can you clarify?

Sorry, I meant, is there a way for issues to reflect, in the NS overview, that the leader is very beloved?

If I'm understanding you right, the answer is no. Issues will from time to time make use of names and things you use such as your leader's name though. Once you reach a certain amount of population you can set your leader's name.

Does the economy slowly improves over time by itself?

I have been trying to improve the economy through pro-market issues, but now the poor are enslaved, unemployed and horribly opressed by the big corporations. :(

Sadly, no, economy does not improve by itself. The best way to increase your economy would be to answer issues in a way that favors the private sector and business. However, to make sure that you don't become a corporate dictatorship, you will need to know when to answer an issue and when to dismiss it when it is going to lead to problems.

It would make sense though, since the population is constantly growing, the economy should follow...

Thanks
