Major 7/31/14
Operation Cancer Slayer

Tonight, Chief of Staff, Marshal KKnight led the troops on a crazy march through NationStates. Ridersyl, Aurum Rider, and Upper Drizzilia sprinted through regions, claiming one after another in this record breaking run. The previous record of 53, set by General Halcones was beat by
TEN regions.

Tonight, during the 55 minute update, these fine troops worked hard to become what they are now: tag legends. Even though there was periods of WA issues and confusion, they did it. HUZZAH!!!

Congratulations on a record breaking update, especially to Syl who I'm sure this meant a lot to. Nice new thread as well.

Ho...holy shit. Great job folks. A hit per minute is something I used to joke about in TBR. Never thought I'd see it happen.

P.S. Go request a merge in moderation. The old thread has too much history to let it die. :(

Great job there. A question for my curiosity, how many if those involved in this run were in TBR a year ago?

To Venico, we asked for the other to be locked. There's a link in the first post to it.

To Nierr, I am the only one who was around a year ago that took part in this tag raid.

I'm not sure 100 is possible from one team to be honest.

Unless updates significantly longer.

*knocks off basic math skills*

100 in 55 minutes would be one every 33 seconds, if you didn't miss any. Might as well shoot for 110, one every 30 seconds, and have some wiggle room. Now, I'd believe that it's possible to shave down your hit-switch-endo-go-repeat time to 30 seconds, if you had a spot on trigger. It'd be a crazy intense and long, draining update, for sure, but I don't think that it's impossible..merely insanely difficult and maybe requiring some non-human help where it's legal. What I think would be *very difficult* is finding properly spaced targets.

...and on further consideration, that 33 seconds is just a theoretical number, and doesn't work in reality. You lose a precious minute or two when feeders and sinkers roll through, meaning the the actual time would be closer to ....(estimates ten minutes between all feeders and sinkers) 27 seconds. That's for 100 exactly.

People will continue to push it, but there does come a time when we simply cannot move and faster. Like running a mile - it's an exponential function. The closer you get to the record, the harder it is to get closer still.

I was watching this from the world page for a little while last night, and I could tell that they were really flying. Well done, folks.

Maybe when I've recovered from this raid.

It was brutal switching for a hit per minute. You'd need one hell of a script to support raiders to hit one every 30/33 seconds.
Maybe we can call Frak.
Too soon?

Fight through the pain. It only makes you stronger.

Apparently I was already switching fast enough for NS to stop me from connecting. Twice.
You have no idea how panic inducing it is to be mid-raid and suddenly not be able to connect to NS :lol2:
