Though possibly not the best Irish speaker on this forum, I should be able to try giving translations of your mottos in Irish. I will not be available every day to translate, but perhaps other speakers of an Gaeilge can offer support.

Well, happy is a noun in Irish, but it's used weirdly. The way to say "be happy" is "bí áthasach" (but here áthasach is an adjective, which is not how 'feelings' are usualy done), and "I am happy " is "tá áthas orm" (which literally means "a happy is on me").
After much consultation with my dictionary, I think what you want is "Bí áthas agat", which means something like "you to have happy" which makes no sense, but if you ddon't speak Irish it looks ok. ;)

It's not my motto, and I have no intention of it being my motto, but it was the motto of one of my old nations, and I'm rather proud of coming up with it. I'm just curious.
