Canada is aware of the situation, and a formal statement should be issued later this evening.

Personally, I find the attempt to dress up a blatant power-grab as some kind of public service utterly disingenuous and essentially cowardly in nature. If Milograd wanted reform, why not stand up for his beliefs and work for it within the system?

Statement on the Coup in The South Pacific

Although Kantrias is a Monarchy and proud of its Monarchial traditions, it also has a strong tradition of democracy, and appreciates that in many other regions, democracy has an even stronger tradition and is also valued. The recent Coup in The South Pacific is thus extremely troubling, an example of the absolute worst kind of coup: It is one thing to seize power illegally by force. That is, in its own way, honest, if still entirely despicable. But to get elected in the legitimate mechanisms of the region and then act in a wholly illegitimate way, banjecting en masse and removing other elected officials and acting in unconstitutional ways is a very special kind of foul.

It is for that reason that The Kingdom of Kantrias condemns Milograd and his actions, condemns those who support him, and stands by the legitimate government of The South Pacific. We offer any and all aid that we can to aid the legitimate government to reassert their power over their region.

Looks to me that Carta was burnt out and didn't know what to do so he decided to emulate JAL.

How bold and creative.

It really isn't interesting the third time around.

Anyway, while I could be wrong and you could have a long term plan...a cursory look indicates this is little more than a stunt coming from someone who never offered anything remotely useful or creative in TSP for as long as I have known him there.

The worst part about this is if you don't have a plan, the region will be far worse off for this stunt you have pulled...more insulated and whatnot, like in the aftermath of Devon except even more shallow and disgraceful.

I also love how everyone feels compelled to make a statement on this, even though they will do nothing.

Seriously, start the telegram campaign already. If you aren't doing that you aren't helping, so just stop pretending. Milograd's banjection spree will be his own undoing.

Frak is not a Muslim terrorist he is a poor attempt at emulating Francos Spain.

This on the other hand is a lazy attempt at emulating JAL. As much as I like JAL there is no virtue in Milograd copying him. Let's not reward him with any attention or worse, another badge on his page.

Run the unendorsement campaign already and let's see if he has any real plan or if this is just a stupid stunt.

Not all coups are created equal

See Biyah's coup of Osiris to JAL's coups of TNP to the Empire's coup of TEP to Devonitians coup of TSP to Francos Spain taking over TP.

To me this looks like a stunt to not really do anything in TSP but maybe to instead destroy the UDL by pinning Solm to the WFE.

I've known Carta in TSP for as long as he has been there, he has gotten to were he is by essentially offering little and pissing off no one during the raucous periods we've had.

I see this coup as similar to the one of Osiris a few months ago. Nothing more than the antics of a bored player with no real long term goals. It doesn't even make sense to ban people like that if this is really a protest of the forum.

Which is what leads me to believe it is just a stunt - also knowing Carta.

So yes, as it stands now...I don't support this. I support reform in the GCRs, through coups - yes I don't have a problem with this. This does not look like a reform effort to me it looks like a stupid stunt or again, an underhanded attempt to destroy the UDL.

This could also be an underhanded attempt by Milogard to reverse the growing neutrality in TSP, some even accused TSP of going raider.

Perhaps he wants to reinstate the atmosphere post-Devonitians, where defenders dominated.

I would urge raider groups watching these developments to do their own digging on if this is a stunt or if Milo really has a committed goal here, again with the ejections of normal residents it looks like a stunt.

In that case, I would urge raider groups to support the effort in unseating him so you aren't spun away from the table by whatever propaganda is uttered after the fact.

Statement on the Coup of The South Pacific

In a surprising and stunning twist, Milograd has couped The South Pacific. Like our fellow regions, The Black Hawks wished to release a statement in response to this event. We would also like to express our support. The Black Hawks fully support Milograd and all the lols he is causing. Let us stand free from boring, nonsense that is feeder politics and have crazy, unadulterated fun. Time to fuck shit up.

Cheers,
General Jakker
Head of Military of The Black Hawks

For the record, Milograd has been unable to satisfy me that this coup is in any way Francoist.

This is a trivial stunt that has been done before, and I am currently preparing my own personal telegram appeal for WAs in the region to unendorse him.

He can utter my name in his inane chats but he will not have my support in this.

The Moon unofficial statement. Unofficial because we are too lazy to create anything official. Also, no fancy banner, logo, whatever.

We of The Moon are pleased to see this coup. It makes the South Pacific far more exciting, thus removing a rival for the title we carry with pride:

The most boring region in NationStates.

Thank you.

Hmmm...Biyah or Karp? Or someone else?

Irrelevant either way... my telegram script is now running and will add further weight to the side that understands what this really is - a trivial stunt perpetuated by a bored player.

It is clear at this point that this delegacy isn't going anywhere and Milograd will soon be relieved of his seat.

Not to worry though Biyah, because you are surely reading this. Your coup of Osiris last December will forever be the most inane. Let's not let Carta take a piece of your precious infamy.

The people who seem to revel in the chaos always seem to me to be the people who care the least about TSP.

I'm all for the drama though. Nice to stir things up once in a while. It was, afterall, the reason I became a member of TSP to begin with, and it's probably the reason I've stayed.

I feel more bemused than anything else. It seems to serve no other purpose than to cause chaos and to serve the whims of a few who seek entertainment out of creating disorder. That's fine, though. As long as we aren't pretending that Milograd is somehow being a misguided noble patriot fighting evil oppressors of a corrupt regime. As long this is seen for what it really is; mindless entertainment, then I don't see the need to be particularly concerned at this point.

I wish I could be surprised, but this does seem to be a bit of a reoccurring theme for TSP. This attempt I must admit is a little less inspiring than the previous ones, though. Even some of the past failed attempts had more zing. This one is more fizzle than bang.

In the end, it will just bring TSP closer together, as it has always done.

Same drama, different players.

Anyone familiar with my evolution as a player and my experience in the UDL and TSP in particular will know that while I may not always have the right means or strategy, my road has been a long one towards and in adherence to the Francoist doctrine.

I am familiar with those doctrines and I see their authenticity manifest before me in my numerous interactions and observations of the GCR and UCR GP world.

Biyah on the other hand, (who I will keep referencing as you mirror him in your conduct towards me) continues to carry on knowing nothing about me. He still sees the noob he was dealing with however long ago in TRR - a battle that no longer exists.

So once again, you spew nothing but irrelevance. Carta will lose his seat and I will be happy to have played my part in that.

About 450 telegrams left to go, and even less WA nations who have not already heard the call.

Enjoy your stunt while you still have it Carta.

Quick note: I'm not Biyah. I was actually around for the very formation of Francoism, and I've served through the very actions that shaped the doctrine. I don't know who you are but you are no Francoist. You are an imposter. You are the irrelevant one.

Heh. That is nice, but can you please remind me why I should care, again? I just spent several seconds writing a telegram that all 4,500 nations in the region will receive immediately, and it shall appear on top of your message. If anyone tries to counter these efforts, I will repeat the process. You are wasting your time and, from my perspective, it is enjoyable to watch you do so.
