An acknowledgment of participation is common place for every occupation done by the UIAF, even for regions committing very few troops. It is not an indicator that you should rely upon to write your peice. If you do, it tells about the amount of research done to write an article, or the good faith of its authors.

As for your comment on the North Pacific, that's your interpretation. The truth is much more simple, we were asked for support, and so we did support.

I can play this game as well: Why are you typing stuff in a forum, natives are in dangers right now, go save them!

I said be thankful I didn't spin the article - you read into that sentence more.

Why? Because you fucked up big time and invited The Black Riders to an invasion and created a political sack of shit that blew up all in your hair. There are two ways you could go about this: (a) keep mocking the reader's intelligence in this thread by aimlessly trying to skirt around the issue and sidestep your screw-up, (b) go home, take a shower, get the cow feces out of your hair and call it a day. Your choice. I get paid to embarrass you so it's not my problem.

Unibots is hoping that he can spin this total non-issue into enough of a shitstorm that people will think twice before letting a TBR switcher assist in an operation. That's all this is.

I do like how you have to keep saying yourself what an embarrassment this supposedly is. You're trying to implant a controversy where there really isn't one. I was merely offering a correction to your somewhat questionable manner of reporting things, were I trying to avoid some perceived issue I would address those actually concerned directly; rather than arguing with an unrelated party in a public forum.

Keep trying to stir up shit. Maybe someone will here will be silly enough to take your nonsense seriously. Your condescending tone is cute though. Have nice day, Unibot.

I was curious what people thought of the editorial - is what I said, accepted commonly or is it still controversial?

About Holocaust Memorial. My old CTE'd (By Moderation Aided Euthanacy) NS-Identity was one of the most vocal members of Moralistic Defense of The Memorial. If I remember Correctly UDL has nothing to do with that defense and now when we all has arrived to new Era, I personally tend to think that:

If Any Region intended to Memorize something (what ever it might be), cannot be kept Secure and safe against all threats by player who founded such Memorial Site(s) is absolute Free target(s) for Everyone, for whomever and what ever for or against in every legal (Game Rule-wise) way possible. Memorials which cannot in practice fulfill their purpose to Commemorate something should be burnt down, as soon as that becomes possible. A Founders of The Memorials has FULL RESPONSIBILITY over Destiny of their own created Regions.

(This statement has nothing to do with how I may or may not think In Real Life about Memorials generally and Holocaust Memorials Particularly)

The main problem, of course, is how TRR citizenship gravitated to Lazarus, seeing the growth of a new utopian socialist region in which they would be welcome as foreign supporters of the righteous proletariat revolution.

And, of course, they found Lazarus' leadership to be inspirational, and humbly invited Lazarene leaders to teach TRR how to twerk and shit.

(1) I think "oligarchy" is problematic language. I prefer aristocracy because oligarchy implies a centralization, the real problem is a integrated crossover.

(2) It's extremely inaccurate to focus on Lazarus and The Rejected Realm's high crossover and ignore the greater picture which is the focus of this article. Ultimately the difference between The Rejected Realm's crossover and Osiris's crossover is one nation from what I can see. Likewise, looking at quantities of members doesn't get at the extent of these people's influence.

Furthermore, your argument glosses over Europeia's ally, The South Pacific who has the highest crossover. The main problem here is not that so and so has a high crossover rate *SHAME*, *SHAME* - the problem here is that most of these regions (e.g., The South Pacific, The Rejected Realms, Osiris, Balder, The North Pacific) like to claim to be democracies and represent their regions well but their members are almost all members of other feeders and sinkers. That's not a problem on the individual level, it's a major problem at the systemic level.

The South Pacific: 26
Lazarus: 24
The Rejected Realms: 22
Osiris: 21
Balder: 19

The North Pacific: 19
The West Pacific: 17
The East Pacific: 10
The Pacific: 6

The average number of crossovers is 18.2. The South Pacific, Lazarus, The Rejected Realms, Osiris, Balder and The North Pacific are all above average. The West Pacific is about average and The East Pacific and The Pacific are below average.

My hope here is that people reading this article won't say "the solution is close down our regions!", because I think that is misguided and would make these regions more vulnerable. Opening up a democracy to people beyond this aristocratic class - voting region-wide - would make them less vulnerable and more independent and democratic.

Yes, because that would be bringing attention to how much the FRA and it's members have come to dominate and control both regions. Can't have that.

I believe that that chart is showing citizen crossover, no? Because there is no way that we have that many government officials shared with TRR simply because we don't have that many government officials :P

EDIT: Also, to actually counter your point, more than half of our recently elected congress are natives or else immigrants who wanted a second chance after previous UCRs fell apart (which, historically, fits in perfectly with the definition of Lazarene natives). You also have me as Chairman, who holds no citizenship in any of these other regions, Bodobol, who falls in with the previously mentioned immigrant definition, and several other government officials or citizens who are either natives or immigrants, or who have made Lazarus their primary region after leaving elsewhere.
