The first coups were probably InfernoIce, Sudetenland or -Ukraine- . From what I've heard InfernoIce was TAO and -Ukraine- was Francos Spain.

The latter was confirmed here:

Pierconium wrote:I would note that -Ukraine- was not only a pre-Revolution Delegate but was actually a puppet of Francos Spain.

However, this could mean the nation was later given to Francos Spain. But not necessarily.

Uhm, people were a lot more lax about endorsement caps in the early days + you couldn't ban anyone before regional controls got introduced. I know there was a delegate in TNP either before Nastic became delegate or in between his reigns who people weren't too fond of. The name escapes me though. I don't remember hearing anything good about InfernoIce or Sudetenland in The Pacific either, and there was the XYZ affair (sp?) in TSP, which was before I really got into gameplay. In TRR there was Jennivier who tried to oust Kandarin in the 2nd half of 2003, but he only had the delegacy for a couple of days I think before he lost it and went wandering into a couple of the feeders to try and get the delegacy there. :P

Deciding on what was the first feeder coup would probably depend on how you define 'coup'.

One man's coup is another's August Revolution.

Coincidentally, in real life, the Sudetenland was unjustly invaded and Ukraine is unjustly being invaded.

Ummmm no? I have nothing against my old home region. The only time I've shown disagreement was when you attacked other raiders but then you fixed that, so I have no issues. I'm being honest when I say the lore is shallow and the name is unoriginal...because that's true. There are no legends, no stories, no belief system, no RP in which Raideron was involved. And the name is bad, even the updaters there when you created it thought so. xD Also at Cora that's not lore that's simply a logistics book. That'd be like saying Christianic lore would just be a list of dates of Mass.

Anyways, if I have a problem with a person or an org I'll say so, but before we threadjack this too much I'll just say that if you ever want my honest opinion on something just ask. I love getting telegrams, now that I'm no longer delegate of Osi I no longer get them daily. :(

Unibot is quite mistaken. InfernoIce was not TAO.

I asked a few times now and he's always elected to go silent at that part of the conversation.

Keepers of secrets often go silent when touching upon a secret they still hold. There are some secrets I still hold and respect as well. Just because it's old history, doesn't mean it's no longer secret :P

Yeah, there's stuff I know about people or happenings in NS which I'd never pass on, since the information was given to me in confidence. Sometimes it doesn't even matter whether the secrecy is still relevant or not.

Ah yes, but if he knew that InfernoIce was a unique player that is already believed to be true and he could say that without betraying any promise of secrecy. Likewise, if he knew InfernoIce was another player under a different name, he could answer "were you InfernoIce?" to the negative and betray no promise of secrecy.

Strategic silence here implies TAO is InfernoIce or that he found it funny to keep me curious. The other alternative option is the silence was not strategic, but coincidental!

Bad assumptions are bad.

Can anyone tell me about TAO? (i.e. who he was, what he did)

I'll leave TAO to speak for himself, but at the moment RL has him a bit busy. Among other things, he's a fomer TWP Delegate. He's also one of those Keeper of Secrets from the olden days.

I don't know. He has puppets in Osiris, TSP, TWP, and Torchwood Hub, but that's it. And he was TWP's former delegate.

He has puppets there. What do you mean?

Ahhh I thought you meant that that's it as far as his involvement in the game, not that that was the limit of your knowledge, my bad.

It's all I know. He's also the Non-WA Delegate in a bunch of regions.

I know he's still around, but he doesn't seem very active.

I'll limit my question to the New TAO Order (I think that was the name)

He persecutes, and encourages other people to persecute, marsupials.

That's nothing to do with gameplay history.

Essentially, the New TAO Order has the mission to either help deadwood regions revive themselves by assisting the natives with activity and defending themselves (or refounding), or respectfully end the region's existence so that the region's name will be available again for other players to use.

It was a milder and older version of the 'Destroyers' concept that was developed during the Neutral Territories players conference.
