Raiding, and social events involving raiding, are not insular events focused on solely raiders. It's a cultural tradition, not a community of exclusion.

Our independent friends were made aware of our interests in selecting a different target that they might not be happy with being a part of. Raidercon is a celebration of raiding, which means all forms of raiding. TBH has long been adamant that we will meet regions where they are on whatever forms of raiding they wish to partake in as long as it is understood we, as a raider region, will also raid how we see fit. There is no controversy here.

True, I should have said, "an event which independents have advertised." That's more along the lines of what I meant. The independent regions that associate themselves with the event inherently, not just the people invited to partake in the festivities. I apologize for being unclear.

I fail to see where the policies of any organisation involved in the raid on South Pacific are or were violated. We value our independent friends, and they are welcome to participate in RaiderCon. The invitation, as has been stated repeatedly, is open to all, with independent allies receiving an official, regional invitation.

If any ally has legitimate concerns, they are welcome to contact a raider officer in private - I'd be happy to hear of any concerns.

Raidercon is more than just the associated ops, is I think their (reasonable) point.

Anyway, Roavin’s right, but it’s not like we haven’t had any success on the military side of things so far. And LWU is featured today, which I count as a W.

The Raidercon operation lost, yes, but quite importantly did not involve all the operative militaries of the organisations invited as guests (for good reason). The overall festivities held by raiders continue to go on, and everyone continues to have fun -- the best is yet to come. I understand that you've been waiting a long time for a W of this caliber (especially after you got egg on your faces in Greater Sahara), and it is well earned, but gloatposting like this really misses the point.

Raidercon never ceases to make me giggle whenever I read the post about the event. Best giggles I've had in a while.

Btw, tug of war is hard ;p.
