It's exactly the same logic as Disabled Voters Act: if you have elections, you have to allow disabled voters ballot access; if you don't, it doesn't apply. Not optional, not an ideological ban.

Get rid of very small regions

A resolution to restrict political freedoms in the interest of law and order.

Category: Political Stability

Strength: Strong

Proposed by: Deon primetime

Description: I propose to get rid of VERY small regions. Why do we need smaller regions anyway? in my opinion those pesky little regions upset the balance of power (in the slightest miniscule way) in the world we live in today. so i say get rid of them.

Meta-gaming. Narcissistic opinion blog.

Not Just Metagaming

by The Lanthanides
Even if the aforementioned resolution weren't metagaming, it is vague and uncomfortably ambiguous. What exactly constitutes "small"? Is it less than five nations or less than ten? Less than twenty? Anyway, furthermore, all regions start out small. An end to small regions would mean an end to UCRs. That's not good. Strongly AGAINST, let alone the metagaming and blogging violations. 8)

What about it? If WTL&P was repealed, it would not gut the resolution. So why is it posted here, if it is not silly or illegal. This is not the place where we just slap resolutions, because they don't have a thread you know? If it isn't illegal, or silly don't post it here.

No it's not and you fucking well know it. House of cards only applies IF the resolution it is citing provided the backbone to the resolution. As I said above, if Looting and Pillaging was repealed, it would not gut this resolution. Will it pass? Probably not, but it still isn't illegal.

It's one clause, and it isn't even mandatory. I suppose it is "possible" to interpret that way, but it seems like a stretch. Of course I have been wrong before, so take it as you will.

If we ignored that part, it stands on its own, so i dont think that if that resolution was to be repealed it would have any effect on this one.

Perhaps, but it is in there, and all parts of a resolution must be followed, so i believe HoC does come in to play there. You cannot selectively choose what to follow and what to ignore, particularly when a clause makes it mandatory.
