As for this resolution, it is pro national sovereignty. It allows a nation to decide it's own labor policies without WA interference. It has passed. Stop harping on it. All you're accomplishing is driving away potential allies to your cause. If you're truly against it, then write a repeal. Just stop your ranting. It does nothing for the national sovereignty cause.

This latest effort from Yakuso that the ambassador doesn't represent the government is a terrible effort at RP too. Just a transparent effort to circumvent the "just resign if your country doesn't want to comply" arguments of other players. Any ambassador not representing his government's positions would be recalled very sharpish.

For God's sake, there's nothing to "abide by"; it's all just meaningless fluff willfully put up and voted upon in order to prevent the WA from taking any substantive action on workweeks. I don't know if I can even begin to fathom the complete and total (inadvertent) irony and self-contradiction of the opposition here: they are anti-sovereigntists, stunned to their fluffy cores that the WA would "assault" labor rights, purporting to be sovereigntists, by claiming the invalid right to defy legislation that is completely sovereigntist in intent and effect, and doesn't even assault labor in the first place. In effect, they're defying their parents by staying out past a curfew the parents didn't impose to begin with. We shudder to think what the outcome of such petulant diplomacy would breed, and as such strongly urge all nations who have to deal with these countries to be preparing themselves for all-out war, for steadfastly refusing to threaten them in any way whatsoever.

We do not require in any way a resolution to tell us that we can pass our own laws. Likewise, we do not want ANY WA restrictions on our employment, we are here to protect liberty and justice on the international scale and that is the role of the WA. You might as well pass a law saying that it is legal to breathe air anywhere, but only when air is present, it is not required!

If you have a valid point to make, then please make it instead of spouting WA contract lines.

There are several points here. The first being that this resolution places no restrictions on employment. It in fact, keeps the WA from placing restrictions on your employment. Second point is that you are not winning any supporters by your continuing to rant and claiming national sovereignty. No one supports you. No one agrees with you. These are not opinions. You need to try to use a little tact and a lot less ranting. Especially, if you might want to write and pass a resolution at some point. Try to make valid arguments.

Lastly, this resolution has passed. There is no point in harping on it or saying that or just will not abide by it. Right a repeal if you truly think this resolution is that bad. Just realize that there are proposals out there that are ready to place restrictions on your employment that this resolution is stopping.

If you're convinced you have so much support (which you don't, according to voting numbers from just a few days ago when this passed), then write a repeal.
It should be easy for one such as you who obviously understands the true impact of this resolution so much better than everyone else.

I will support it because I would prefer that the WA have the influence this resolution is blocking.
