If you've been using Chrome, they've been like that for quite a while now, and yeah, it was a deliberate change to make it fit in more with the rest of the theme.

It was so pretty with the little outline.
Because that sidebar tended to be pretty busy and the flag clashed since it was overly bright. Also, I've never been able to find a way to align it to my satisfaction, especially when the nation name gets split into two lines.

Did you fix the issue preventing my name or whatever from being kept on that thingy? Thanks for reminding me! What I basically have to do is drop off the dash in front of your name and make a notation to skip over your nation when I do my bimonthly pruning of dead nations. It's in there now and sho...

Hi I had a question. Has the Dark Theme always not had the small flag next to the nation's name on the side panel? I just changed back to it not very long ago and noticed just now it lacks a flag. I just checked the changelog, and it was taken out on May 13, 2013. https://forum.nationstates.net/vie...

“Looks like it’s time,” Lunsford’s second-in-command finally stated, seeing the news report coming through. The Colonel nodded; he had been putting it off for a while now, hoping that Governor O’Neill had managed to survive very well intact, but the reports flowing in suggested otherwise. Now everyt...

The rescue crew, while not necessarily being the most expedient because of the long climb, had come as promptly as they could with a stretcher and anti-grav clamps that would help move the debris off of the man. Once there, they made quick work of removing him from beneath the metal, sliding him ont...

Heavy boots clomped up the capital tower’s staircase, illuminated by the emergency spotlights that provided the only light inside as the main power had been turned off. The utilities were concerned both about sparks from severed or crushed cables that might ignite flammable materials or fallen cable...

Inside another apartment tower, metal structural supports – their numbers having been thinned by the last – began groaning under the pressure from above. Sensors, embedded inside these walls, picked up these changes, directing the information back into Central Operations, where computer systems anal...

Ah hell, I didn't notice this thread. I've had the same problem. Thread copy/pasted here from my original one, which I've just gone ahead and deleted: Long story short, I seem to have an inability to send TGs to nations whose names begin with dashes (-). The TG system keeps indicating that I want to...

The past several months had been rough on Siri as she tried to cope with her husband’s death. Her sister had kept her company throughout most weekends, but during the week, she had her patients to have to take care of so she tended to not be around as much. That had left Siri fending for herself, du...

( Image ) ( Image ) I whipped up a version of those two static ones that you linked where the border is removed; when I get home from work (good use of my lunch break XD), I would be more than happy to try and do it for the rest of the static smiles, though the animated ones would take a bit more t...

Mercy Does Not Go Unpunished [Mars]

Ah, the overactive mind! Arguably, some might consider it a blessing, enabling one to carefully contemplate a plan’s options before it’s executed; a way to churn over a particular problem so that a solution could be found; or a way to generate a bountiful array of new ideas that build off of one ano...

Just a reminder, folks: If I cannot understand the entry you've submitted, then I'm either going to skip over it or make some assumptions on my own. That's why I always recommend the format/example I put up in the OP. Also, if you haven't added the long form of your nation name, then I'm going to gr...
