I'm beginning to think that the entire point behind these threads is for them to just get ideas. Of course the point is to get ideas. [violet] wants to use the player base to identify as many "unforeseen consequences" as possible in advance. They implement them however they want, so in th...

Y'know, I was about to put down a whole rationalization about what is and isn't allowed in Moderation, but the short answer is "No". We've got enough mods that 'helpful' posts in [Report] threads are rarely helpful. 99% of reports aren't time sensitive, and the ones that are time sensitive...

Per the RP puppet enforcement amendment for NS Sports , a challenge was made to the moderators. The challenged player was telegrammed, and they denied puppetry. Therefore, we are forced to publicly 'out' Landpolis and Northwestern Isles as puppets of the same player, in violation of the rules of th...

While I have encouraged players to attempt to write [a WA military blocker] in the past, you cannot assume that the other (and more active) WA mods would agree that it's allowed under the rules. So let's say we "archive" Frisbeeteria's ruling. Yet, as he subsequently said, that doesn't me...

What if all the mods are involved though? Then we do the obvious - we ask the lesser involved mods to run the investigation. Also, the mod team recognizes that some of us are better at some tasks than others. Some are good at thread trawls, some are good at technical investigations, some are good a...

We won't put a metric on it because it's not predictable enough for a metric. There's no hard-and-fast "3 lost nations and you're out" rule. (That's because some people lose two or more spam or ban-breaker or WA multi nations at a throw, and we tend to count those as a single event each. I...

I'm not aware of any site rules that prohibit individuals from role-playing real world organizations or religions. I know we've had several NS Olympics and several NS Popes, so I'm not seeing a problem with a NS LDS.

I think this might bear further discussion. The following is off-the-cuff and is strictly a player opinion, not an official site statement. 4 Gravedigs. All by the same person. Not all gravedigs are the same. The spammy "<blank> in your nation" threads were locked. The embassy threads and the longer term 'serious' topics were fine. We don't have as strict a gravedig policy in the RP forums as we do in General. They're in the ...

While puppet wanking is clearly poor sportsmanship, this example is not against either the regular rules or the specialized NS Sports tournament rules. If you don't want to play with someone who prefers playing with himself, don't play with him.

Not sure if it's just my screen That sig would fail spectacularly on a small screen, but on a fullsize screen it appears legal.
