Refactoring has introduced some new stats, such as GDP and average incomes. These will be added to the API shortly, but if you have any special requests, now is the time! Looks like you got a early jump on the new API by converting TAX from integer to decimal overnight. Um, thanks. http://i1.ifrm.c...

Optimal Custom Banner Dimesions

We are pretty sure we saw [violet] post somewhere we can no longer find just what the optimal custom banner sizes would be to accommodate the downsize that occurs. Can that be reposted here? Better yet, can there be a section on Banners be added to the Technical FAQ so everyone could find such infor...

[violet], we can always tell when you change the API even if you do not post about it. We can almost guarantee our tool will break. It appears v4 converts all percentages in the feeds from integers to decimals. Interesting. What would be really nice is if you used actual numbers only (decimals or in...

There is another one with an invalid entity in the dump:

"" is not a valid entity

We are with Northrop-Grumman & Starrie on asking if this can be fixed.

NSHistory

History is alive and well at NSHistory with weekly extracts back to May, 2003. However, there were no dumps back then; all we came up with was scraping All Nations and All Regions . So, we have a whopping 3 columns of data on nations and 3 columns on regions. With the advent of the dumps, we keep a ...

Image scaling, hmm, never thought of that. We will see what we can do.

Maybe we will even get really efficient and pull all the images into our system. Not sure if the database would be faster or the file system.

Thank you for the food for thought Ballo!

NSRegionFlag

If you would like to see all the Flags of The World - Region Edition, we have that on our NSRegionFlag page. We have not done Nation flags because there are a lot. 57,468 nations (52.78%) use the 470 game issued flags. That means 51,650 nations have an uploaded flag. The most popular game-issued fla...

There are issues that say crap like "Surely we must invade so-and-so" and no such thing happens. We thought it was the typical hyperbole that runs rampant in issues. We do not know what we expcted, bu maybe something like "NewTexas is escorted from the halls of WA after rants about Na...
